The working committee elected by the Congress Special General Convention has stated that out of the total 4,635 delegates at the convention, 2,652 delegates are present at the special general convention.

Devraj Chalise, spokesperson of the special general convention elected from the special general convention, has made public the details of the signatures of a total of 2,488 general convention delegates when they registered at the party office on Asoj 29. He also informed that 29 people withdrew their signatures after registration.

'The signatures that are said to have been withdrawn after the convention has been successfully concluded do not have any impact on the legitimacy of the special general convention, the decision-making process or the validity of the decisions. According to the Constitution of Nepal, the statute and regulations of the Nepali Congress, the decisions of the convention that have been legally registered once cannot be canceled or affected by the subsequent withdrawal of signatures,' said a statement issued by Chalise.
