The first meeting of the Central Coordination Committee of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has decided to celebrate 'Sacrifice Day' in every parliamentary constituency on Magh 5.
The party said that various programs will be organized across the country on the occasion of the Martyrdom Day, commemorating the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Madhesh movement, democratic struggle, federalism and inclusiveness.
Similarly, the meeting has also decided to celebrate the Province Establishment Day at the Madhesh Bhavan on Magh 3. A special program focusing on federalism, provincial rights and the achievements of the Madhesh movement will be organized on the occasion.
The meeting has decided to add five new members to the Coordination Committee. Rajkishore Yadav, Shailendra Prasad Sah, Hari Mandal, Pradeep Yadav and Jayaprakash Thakur have been selected as members of the Central Coordination Committee. The meeting was viewed as important in the context of taking forward the party structure, work direction and political agenda after the unification and the party unification was formally approved.
The meeting stated that leaders from different regions, communities and political backgrounds have been included in the Coordination Committee with the aim of making the party organization more inclusive, balanced and effective. The meeting has decided to form a 3-member committee to conduct the upcoming National Assembly elections. The committee will include National Assembly members Khalid Siddiqui, Parmeshwar Sah, and Lal Kishor Sah. It has also been decided to distribute the responsibilities of the members of the Central Coordination Committee and deploy them to each parliamentary constituency. This decision is seen as a strategic step to make the party organization active at the grassroots level after the unification.
