Deuba has also called General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma in the meeting called with preparations to take a final decision.

The talks held at various stages throughout the day on Tuesday were inconclusive.
Even though talks were held until late at night, the talks remained inconclusive due to lack of agreement on the leadership change. Gururaj Ghimire, a leader in favor of the special general convention and participating in the talks, had said that if a miracle happens by morning, the party will unite, otherwise the leadership will be selected.
