The Central Committee meeting of the Congress establishment wing, which was called for 1 pm on Tuesday, has been postponed without being held.

As an agreement could be reached by nightfall, the meeting of the Central Working Committee has been postponed to 8 am tomorrow, Wednesday, spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat informed.

'No one benefits from dividing the party now. It does not benefit the Nepali people and the country. No matter what anyone says, the heritage of democracy and the heritage that will make this nation strong is the Nepali Congress. No one else can. Not even the new party. We know very well that even the old parties cannot give that credibility,' said spokesperson Mahat.

He urged the faction holding the special general convention not to try to split the party, saying that everyone's feelings would be valued in the party.

Spokesperson Mahat emphasized that the party should move forward according to the decisions made by the party's central committee.
