Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that maintaining the trust of the people is more important than winning or losing in the upcoming elections in the country.

Addressing the inaugural session of the special general convention held here on Sunday at the call of the supporters of the special general convention of the Congress, he said, 'Elections come and go, they are won and lost, now the system and the constitution have to be protected, and more than that, the trust of the people has to be protected.'

General Secretary Thapa clarified that the Congress is not a party of slaves and corpses, and said that everyone is equal in the party. 'No one will say no, he will not say anything, whoever says no to questions cannot even answer,' he said. Stating that the people have trust in the Congress, General Secretary Thapa said that now, more than elections, the system and the constitution have to protect the people's trust.
