I had asked for a big post and only an ordinary member from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and not the Prime Minister: Chairman Ghising

What you should know

Ujjaya Nepal Party Chairman Kulman Ghising has claimed that he did not ask for any post or Prime Minister during the merger with the National Independent Party. He claimed that he did not ask for the Prime Minister and office bearers as reported in the media.

Immediately after breaking the unity with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) within 12 days of taking over the responsibility of the chairman of the Ujjaya Nepal Party, he claimed that it was not possible even if he wanted to stay together as an ordinary member.

‘I have not asked for anything from the Prime Minister and the party chairman. Our friends had said that I would stay even if I were an ordinary member,’ Ghising said, ‘But today the party unilaterally broke it. We have to move forward even if we are alone.’

It was reported in the media that Ghising had demanded that the party name be changed, that a senior vice president and general secretary be appointed, that there should be more proportional representation, and that at least 21 central members be required to maintain unity with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

‘We did not do any bargaining. I had gone down in rank as vice president. Today was the last time I tried to reach an agreement. I had said that I would stay as an ordinary member,’ he said, ‘I had said that some friends should be included in the central members.’ I had said that we should make a supplementary agreement on the basic issues of inclusiveness, federalism and the constitution. But that could not happen. It also took a long time on the issue of proportional representation.'

Ghising claimed that the Ujjaya Nepal Party would field candidates in 165 constituencies and cooperate with those who are willing to cooperate. He claimed that he had taken the membership of the Nepal Party and was elected the president today, and now he will work day and night to build the party's organization. He claimed that he would make it effective nationwide under his leadership in the coming days. He also thanked everyone, including those who led the party two months ago.

He claimed that it was a great loss to have to wait for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for a long time. He claimed that now they will move forward in a way that works according to the spirit of Gen-G.
