NCP leader and former minister Umesh Yadav has joined the JSP, Nepal. On Tuesday, leaders including JSP, Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav inducted Yadav into the party.

Even before this, he had claimed that he was still in the party despite the news that he had left the then Maoist center.

Umesh Yadav, who won from Saptari-3 in the 2070 BS Constituent Assembly elections, was defeated in 2074 BS along with JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav. In 2079 BS, he contested in the Provincial Assembly but lost. He contested from Saptari 2(2). Umesh, who is also a former irrigation minister, was defeated by Mahesh Yadav of the Janmat Party. Mahesh, who is active in the Maoists, joined the Janmat Party the night before the nomination after the party did not give him a ticket and won as a candidate.

At that time, Umesh had even gone to the UML-RPP and told the JSP that it had made a mistake. For the upcoming House of Representatives elections, the NCP had recommended him from Saptari-2.
