NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Gen-G movement has forced the political leadership to introspect.

At a program organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chairman Dahal said that politics has now reached a decisive stage, whether to address the needs of the people with new resolve and commitment or to step aside, accepting that its legitimacy has expired.

Chairman Dahal stated that the country is currently going through a rare serious crisis and that its solution can only be possible through all-party consensus and determination.

‘The Gen-G movement has motivated us to introspect. It is necessary for all of us to introspect. It has created a situation where we can either move forward with new resolve and commitment to meet the needs of the people or step aside, saying that our legitimacy has expired. This country is in a very difficult situation. This is a rare crisis. We need to move forward with all-party consensus to solve this crisis. An environment has been created to move forward with all-party determination,’ he said.

Chairman Dahal stated that the role of the private sector is important for development and prosperity, and said that it is necessary to change the perspective on the private sector. He said that the country cannot achieve economic progress unless the private sector is encouraged.

He stated that peace, stability and prosperity are the main needs of today, and said that holding elections and amending the constitution through the next government is the long-term solution for that.
