Chairman Upadhyay has the right to hold a unity dialogue
The central committee meeting of the Ujjaya Nepal Party has called on alternative new forces to come together.
A meeting held in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, on Saturday has given Chairman Anup Kumar Upadhyay the authority to hold unity talks with new political forces. According to party spokesperson Raju Thapa, it has been decided to unite all political parties in a way that establishes coexistence.
Thapa said about the party central committee decision, 'Ujjaya Nepal Party has always been in favor of unity in a way that establishes coexistence of all. It has been decided to call on all alternative and progressive political parties for necessary cooperation. It has been decided to give the party chairman the authority to hold unity talks.'
Ujjaya Nepal has rejected the proposal for unity from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah. The proposal that Rabi Lamichhane would be the party president after the unification and Balendra Shah the next Prime Minister was placed in the central committee of Ujjaya Nepal. A central member informed that the party rejected it.
