A total of 18.93689 voters have registered for the upcoming House of Representatives elections. The Election Commission made the final voter count public on Saturday.
This time, there has been an increase of 915,119 voters compared to the 2079 House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections. At that time, there were 17,988,570 voters. More than 900,000 voters have been added in the last three years.
The voter list was compiled in Asoj and Kartik by amending the law. A significant number of voters were added at that time. According to commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the final voter list has been made public by updating the details of citizens who will complete 18 years of age by 20 Falgun. The final voter list includes 96,63,358 men. There are 92,40,131 women and 200 others.
Compared to the previous time, the number of male voters has increased by 522,552, female voters by 392,552 and others by 15.
Along with the final voter list, the commission has also finalized the polling stations and polling centers. 10,967 polling stations and 23,112 polling stations have been established across the country.
The commission has stated that 75 polling stations and 885 polling stations have been increased this time compared to the 2079 elections.
Elections are being held on Falgun 21 for 165 constituencies of the House of Representatives and 275 members through proportional representation.
