The Election Commission has established offices of election officers in seven provinces for the upcoming National Assembly member elections to be held on Magh 11. The commission has appointed district judges as election officers, informed Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, spokesperson of the commission.

Bhimraj Prasai in Koshi Province, Shubhnath Puri in Madhesh, Geeta Shrestha in Bagmati, Himal Belbase in Gandaki, Prakash Raj Pandit in Lumbini, Deepak Dhakal in Karnali and Bhuwan Singh Thapa in Sudurpaschim have been appointed.

Elections will be held for 19 vacant posts from Falgun 20. According to the election program, the list of candidates will be published from 10 am to 11 am on Poush 19, after investigating the claims, objections and complaints against the list, the final list will be published from 3 pm to 4 pm on Poush 22.

Nomination of candidates will be from 10 am to 3 pm on Poush 23, complaints against candidates will be filed from 10 am to 4 pm on Poush 24, withdrawal of names by candidates will be from 10 am to 1 pm on Poush 27 and the final list of candidates will be published from 1 pm to 2 pm.

There is a program to provide election symbols to candidates from 10 am to 1 pm on Poush 28. The polling will be held from 9 am to 3 pm at the respective polling station.
