Stating that after eating so much of the nation’s salt, Karki claimed that the government is ready to hold the elections on time.

This discussion program organized today has been very successful. We had called everyone present here, including political parties, civil society, and the general public, to clarify some of our views and discuss some of the questions raised regarding the election. After the presentation by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Election Commission, 8 civil society leaders, 14 leaders of various parties, and 2 general public representatives expressed their views.
Looking at everyone’s views, it has come to the conclusion that there should be an election. There is a case in court from one or two parties, and a question has arisen about what will happen about that. But no one has the feeling or such an idea that an election should not be held.
I would like to thank everyone that everyone was found to be active towards the election.
The main thing is that, as I have repeatedly said, no one wanted or thought that this situation would arise.
This situation came about suddenly. The shocking events that took place on Bhadra 24 and 25, which were beyond our imagination and understanding, we had not even imagined, after that a change has come and society, the country, let's say everyone, the entire nation realized that there is a need for a change.
New youth forces have come forward. One of the challenges in that is to bring the youth to the forefront, how to advance them in the governance of the country or in every field, everyone has come up with the concept. Everyone has come up with the feeling that now we need to bring about a little change.
There are two or three questions raised by Genji, and everyone feels that those questions must be resolved. Everyone has also realized that what Genji demanded must be fulfilled. There is no doubt about it.
The question that arose was about the time of the 6-month election. Since the 6-month period is a provision of the constitution, we did not think of saying otherwise. Because the constitutional provision that there should not be a gap of more than 6 months between two parliaments or sessions, we were forced to do so. And they said to hold elections.
Elections are not a time of crisis for us. They are a time of joy, excitement, a path of change.
Elections have brought some changes in Nepal to this day. Revolutions or rebellions also bring change, but there may be murder and violence, and there is carnage. But elections gradually bring about change in a peaceful manner. They transfer power peacefully from one class to another and improve the system.
I would like to say to everyone present once again - here we are neither plaintiffs nor defendants. I am a person who speaks legal language. What is in our hearts is a different matter. It is natural to express that, to vent our bitterness. Which party is not satisfied with what, that is our own matter. But after all, the supreme power of this country is the people. If we do not agree on our fate within any political party, if there is any disagreement among us, we should not give the negative impact, its torment to the people. We cannot directly impose the negative impression of the problems within our political party on the people.
In democracy, the people's choice is a matter of choice. If one party cannot do a good job, they can also bring another party to power. This is a matter of the people's will. The great thing here is the people. Political parties are only a secondary matter. Political parties are meant to serve the people. So what do the people want, what are the current demands and feelings?
The kind of movement that took place on Bhadra 23 and 24, the killings, the killing of minors, the wounds of which are still etched in the minds. Its imprint has been left on people. It has had an impact on the people. What message should we give then? Why should we change? Why should we change? What did Genji and the young generation want? We had to think about it.
We cannot succeed by saying "I have twelve percent of my cow", nor is that the path to success. If the people want change, then the political parties should also be correct.
Just a few days ago, regarding the Genji movement, the British Prime Minister said, making a full appeal - You Genjis, come. We welcome you with an open heart. Our party is open. Come, serve the people, we will leave you the whole place.
We should also be able to say that, in these changing times.
Who will blame whom here? Whatever mistakes were made yesterday, whatever mistakes were made, as a result of which Bhadra 23 and 24 fell, we are facing that impulse. Today, we have become the object of criticism both from Genji and from political parties. We have become helpless.
But whatever we have to endure, whatever we have to suffer, whatever kinds of criticisms we are facing, we are ready for it. Because it is for the country. After being born in this country and spending so much time, or after eating so much of this nation, we understand that we have to do something for the nation.
We did not come to enjoy the blood of Genji. We did not enjoy it either. Evaluate how the political parties enjoyed yesterday and what we have done today. That is something you should consider. I do not criticize anyone. I am grateful to everyone. Please, my request is that everyone come to the elections.
As far as peace is concerned. The point is that if all political parties unite and want peace, there is no one here who can carry out a terrorist attack here, no one can pick up a gun.
All political parties come. All unite, for peace. There are 114 political parties. If no political party or person supports bad elements, if they close the door, no one's skills will work.
Otherwise, let's look at Bangladesh. I did not challenge them. That is not the nature of Nepalis. Till today, Nepalis have endured even when 17,000 people died. They have endured even now. It is not my final statement that we should endure. It is not that we should endure. We should not endure. But we should not do the work of losing the country by expressing our anger over everything.
That is why you have come here, I am very grateful. We are in discussions. We still have time. We said that two to two and a half months are left, that is a million hours. Count this period in hours. We are working in hours. Don't doubt us here.
I call on all the political party personalities, civil society, every journalist, and employees present here to cooperate - for the country, for the progress of the country. When will our progress be? It will not be possible by singing only political and party songs. There should be progress for the country. There should be development. Earlier, the issue was raised here that two hundred billion paisa was destroyed. We did not destroy all that. I do not want to say that. Not everything happens overnight. It is not the law to arrest people and shoot them in Tundikhel.
After we came, the authority has registered 39-40 cases. The CIB has been chasing them, they have been running. That work has never been done. Please think about this too. We are not asking for thanks from you for doing this. Because you and I are people from the same house. We are not outsiders. We have to do it for our country. We do not have to show it to anyone. We do not have to tell anyone. We do not want to be crowned and respected for doing it. We did it for the country.
