The first meeting of the Central Committee elected by the 11th General Convention of the UML has begun. Chairman KP Sharma Oli is currently addressing the meeting at the Karki Banquet in Babarmahal.

According to UML Secretary Rajan Bhattarai, the central committee meeting will decide on the immediate work to be done. Secretary Bhattarai said that the meeting is also preparing to discuss issues such as the distribution of responsibilities among the newly elected central committee officials.

This central committee, which will meet after the general convention, will decide on the review of the general convention and the current political situation, especially after the Gen-G movement.

The 11th general convention has formed a new leadership team under the chairmanship of KP Sharma Oli. Addressing the central members immediately after the presidential election, Oli had instructed them to strongly oppose any interference by the government in the leadership, saying that the UML should prepare for a peaceful movement.
