The Nepali Congress has recommended Dr. Firdosh Alam as a single candidate from Rautahat Constituency No. 2 for the election of members of the House of Representatives. Dr. Firdosh is the son of former minister Mohammad Aftab Alam.
The regional workers' meeting held on Thursday unanimously decided to recommend Dr. Firdosh's name for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
Regional President Sheikh Faizullah informed that Dr. Firdosh's name was recommended as a single recommendation. According to Regional President Faizullah, the names of Ramlochan Kalwar, Ramchandra Giri, Sheikh Rashid Ali, Grishanandan Singh, Shobha Kumari and Khusbunesa Khatun have been unanimously recommended for the proportional representation.
Local level office bearers, ward representatives and regional workers were present at the regional meeting. Former Minister Mohammad Aftab Alam had been winning in this area. Alam died three weeks ago.
In Rautahat, which has four constituencies, consensus is yet to be reached in other areas. Despite meetings in other areas, the names of candidates have not been unanimously approved.
