Nepali Communist Party leader Bamdev Gautam has claimed that he will secure a two-thirds majority in the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. He made this claim at a program organized in Lalitpur on Monday.
He said that the party would embark on the journey of socialism after getting a two-thirds majority in the election. He also instructed the cadres to start preparing for getting two-thirds votes right now.
He said that the people should go to the people without leaving any place vacant in the tole, ward, or municipality. Mentioning that 17 parties have integrated to form the NCP, he said that there will be no shortage of leaders to reach the doorsteps of the people.
Bamdev's statement
We, the Nepali Communist Party, today 17 parties have integrated into it and we are moving forward. We will participate in the upcoming general election on Falgun 21. We should go among the people right now, not to empty any municipality, not to empty any ward, not to empty any tole, everywhere. After 17 parties join, there will be no shortage of leaders, all those leaders will reach the doorsteps of the people. We will start that campaign.
It doesn't matter whether we die or live, but in order to build socialism, I want to say to you now, from the upcoming election on Falgun 21, we must reach a two-thirds majority. Once we have a two-thirds majority, we will start, the work of socialism will begin from there, roads will be built, production will take place. Houses will be built, how will the people be provided with facilities, we will bring scientists from all over the world. We will also send them to learn skills, in different places. We will build such a Nepal and which our descendants will always be proud of.
