Nepali Communist Party leader Bamdev Gautam has said that leaders should now move forward with honesty.
Addressing the NCP's unity message meeting held in Gulariya on Saturday, leader Gautam emphasized that the Gen-G movement of Bhadra 23 and 24 has made them realize that they have made mistakes in the past and that they should correct themselves.
'Communists are honest, they admit their mistakes, but those who are fake communists do not admit their mistakes,' Gautam said, 'I want to become a true communist by accepting the mistakes of the past because the Gen-G movement of Bhadra 23 and 24 has made us realize that we have also made mistakes in the past and now we have to correct ourselves and move forward.'
He claims that the Nepali Communist Party has been built as a great force. 'Now, the Nepali Communist Party has been built as a party that can lead, protect and defend the country,' he said.
Gautam added, 'In the unity started by five parties, 17 parties have now been integrated, how many were there when other parties were formed?'
Leaders including Bhim Bahadur Rawal and Shakti Bahadur Basnet were present at the unity message meeting.
