Leader Bhim Rawal has said that the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) was formed because the old parties failed. Addressing a message meeting organized in Biratnagar on Monday, leader Rawal said that people have lost faith in the old Communist Party.
'The people gave two-thirds of their votes with the expectation of change. But that public opinion was trampled upon by dissolving the parliament twice. Today, 15 components have come together to form the new Nepali Communist Party because it failed to provide security and prosperity to the people,' said leader Rawal.
He said that a new unified party is indispensable to change the national security system and protect national independence and integrity. Accusing UML Chairman KP Oli of the arrogance that led to the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24, he said, 'Oli's arrogance caused the country to burn in five hours.'
Rawal clarified that the new party's priorities are tough steps against corruption, structural reforms in the education sector, and building a government responsible for the people.
Leader Pramod Narayan Yadav claimed that the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 escalated due to the wrong decisions of the Oli leadership, and said that the current need is the polarization of revolutionary forces.
Similarly, leader Chiran Pun accused the leadership from Netra Bikram Chand, Mohan Bikram Singh, Janardan Sharma to Ghanshyam Bhusal of abandoning the movement halfway and said, 'Now your separate petty politics will not work. This is the successor party of the Nepali Communists.'
Leader Rajendra Shrestha said that voting for old parties without understanding the achievements of the People's War would go against the interests of the people. 'This is the party that can provide prosperity, justice and a stable government,' he said.
