As the final preparations for the selection of representatives for the 11th General Convention of the UML are underway, the party's Organization Department has issued a 5-point directive. According to Kashinath Adhikari, a member of the party's Standing Committee and head of the Organization Department, the 5-point directive was issued after making some decisions through a virtual meeting of the department on Monday evening.

According to the official, before entering the election process, the final voter list of the respective constituency must be published. For this, instructions have been given to use the latest circular of the Central Committee as a basis.

Similarly, the department has also issued instructions to immediately inform the Central Organization Department of the final voter list. Similarly, instructions have been issued to make a final effort to reach consensus by the evening of the 12th and if that is not possible, to go through the election process on the 13th and select the representative. This instruction of the department has directed not to postpone the selection of the representative to be done on the 13th under any pretext.

The department has intervened in this matter after receiving information that the candidacy registration fee for the representative was set excessively in some districts. It has also been directed not to charge a maximum of Rs 1,000 for the candidate. The department has also issued instructions to the leaders deployed in the concerned areas for the selection of representatives to reach their work areas on time and facilitate the selection process of the representative.
