There is still one day left for party registration for the election. There is a possibility that the number of parties wishing to participate in the election will increase during that period.
There is a legal provision that parties registered with the Commission must apply for re-registration to participate in the upcoming election. Accordingly, the Commission has given political parties wishing to participate in the House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun from 1-10 Mangsir for party registration.
The UML, which has been standing in favor of the restoration of the House of Representatives, also registered its party on Tuesday to participate in the election. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party, which has been holding the view that the country will not be able to exit the election as it is, has also stated that it will participate in the election. The RPP also applied for party registration on Tuesday.
Earlier, political parties including the Congress, Nepali Communist Party, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), JSP Nepal, and LOSP have been registered with the Commission.
