Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the ongoing unstable political environment in the country can be resolved through elections.

Inaugurating the Ghalegaun Cultural Building in Panchakanya Rural Municipality-3 of Nuwakot on Sunday, former Prime Minister Dahal said that the only option for restoring the right of self-determination of Nepali citizens is elections as it is at risk. He said that national political unity is needed to hold elections on time.

'Not only the communist component but all political forces including the Nepali Congress should unite and focus on completing the elections,' said Coordinator Dahal. 'If the elections cannot be held on Falgun 21 due to lack of time, a fresh mandate should be taken from the coming Baisakh to the first week of Jestha. We should move forward at a new pace by putting an end to the ongoing instability in the country.'

Coordinator Dahal expressed confidence that the CPN (UML) would also participate as the parties including the Nepali Congress have already started preparations for the elections. 'All forces should unite and participate in the elections, this will benefit everyone,' said Coordinator Dahal.
