According to Kathmandu Police Range Spokesperson SP Pawan Bhattarai, a person named Jagat called from Miraj's office around 5 pm on Wednesday, saying that he needed security at the office.
Gen-G activist Miraj Dhungana said his office was attacked on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday morning, Dhungana wrote a post on the social networking site Facebook, saying that his office was attacked at around 6 pm.
He said that an unknown group attacked and mistreated the female members present there. He wrote, ‘We were attacked at our office at 6 pm. Our female colleague was mistreated and beaten. What are they trying to do to us?’
Since the details of the incident and the identity of the attackers are yet to be revealed, the office has demanded necessary action from the security agencies.
Although Miraj said that the office was attacked, according to the police, no such attack has been reported. According to SP Pawan Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Police Range, a person named Jagat called from Miraj’s office at around 5 pm on Wednesday, saying that he needed security at the office.
After the call was made saying that there was a dispute in the office and the security threat had increased, SP Bhattarai had deployed a few police officers. ‘But when the police arrived, the situation was normal there. "It was a normal dispute, we will sort it out ourselves," they said, referring it to the police. "In the morning, the news of the attack suddenly appeared on social media," SP Bhattarai told Kantipur.
According to him, no verbal or written complaint has been received by the police so far from Miraj that the office was attacked.
