Prime Minister Sushila Karki has warned that the country will face disaster if it takes a stand to restore the parliament. Addressing an all-party meeting, Prime Minister Karki urged all parties to focus on the elections to find a way out for the country.

‘If we now take a stand on the restoration of the parliament, that action will only confirm that we are trying to repeat the political accident of the past,’ Karki said, ‘Therefore,  elections have been announced on Falgun 21  as a constitutional solution to the political debate.  This announcement was the only necessary step to save the nation from a constitutional crisis and to keep democracy on the right track.’

Prime Minister Karki made this comment especially after the CPN-UML started raising this issue.
