UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has opposed the 'Nepo Baby' trend that was used on social media before the Gen-G uprising, saying it is a crime against children.
He said this at the meeting of the dissolved parliamentary party held at the UML central office, Chyasal, on Tuesday.
Earlier, Oli had also made a public statement opposing the 'Nepo Baby' trend. On 2 Kartik, he had spoken to journalists in Koteshwor and said that he would not accept 'Nepo Baby', saying, 'I do not accept Nepo Baby. This is not arrogance. Why Nepo Baby? When we talk about Nepo Baby, children are scared.'
He said that Nepo Baby is a crime against children and that even if parents make mistakes, their children should not be punished for it. Commenting that the term Gen-G is also a misconception, Oli also claimed that Gen-G or Generation Z is a period of computer development and that this person has nothing to do with it.
Oli, like before, has also commented that the Sushila Karki-led government was formed through arson, vandalism and looting. He reiterated his claim that the government was unconstitutional, saying that this government was not formed from revolution or rebellion. He said, 'This government has neither ground to stand on nor a branch to hold on to.'
He questioned who had sustained and run this government and said that there were many things going on about who had run the government. During his speech, he repeated the same thing and questioned the legal status of the government and said that since they are independent Nepalis, they would keep questioning it. He said that the government formed after the Gen-G rebellion was the starting point for pushing the country towards darkness and also said that they would not remain silent in the work against the country.
