Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed the government to prepare a comprehensive report on the losses incurred during the Gen-G movement.
Addressing the meeting of the Ministry-level Development Problem Solving Committee and the progress review of the first quarter of the programs run by the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and its subordinate bodies in the fiscal year 2082/83, she gave these instructions.
Prime Minister Karki directed the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers to prepare a report on the integrated details of the damage. Stating that the expenditure percentage of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and its subordinate bodies was not satisfactory until the review period of the current fiscal year, she directed the heads of all the concerned bodies to prioritize the work to be done by themselves in the remaining period of the current fiscal year.
Prime Minister Karki said, 'A body-wide discussion was held on the issues presented in the meeting of the Ministry-level Development Problem Solving Committee and the progress review of the first quarter of the programs run by the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and its subordinate bodies in the fiscal year 2082/83. Since the expenditure percentage of this office and its subordinate bodies is not satisfactory until the review period of the current fiscal year, it is seen that the heads of all the concerned bodies should proceed with their respective tasks with priority and urgency in the remaining period.'
She said that the vandalism and arson during the movement caused damage to public structures and property, and due to this, some of the work to be completed during the review period was affected. She also directed to perform the work in a way that achieves the set goals of the current fiscal year with high morale to provide service-friendly services and services in line with the aspirations of the people in accordance with the spirit and essence of the Gen-G movement.
She said, 'I direct you to update the details of the damage to the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' office building and other physical and total damage due to the vandalism and arson in the context of the Gen-G movement as soon as possible and to prepare a report of the integrated details of all the damage to the subordinate bodies.'
Prime Minister Karki urged the government to give high priority to the work to be done in the remaining period of the current fiscal year and work to achieve the target within the stipulated time.
She said, 'Since the electronic procurement system is a sensitive issue related to the procurement work of public bodies, it is necessary to complete the procurement of the necessary item equipment for the server upgrade of the system within the stipulated time. I also direct this office and its subordinate bodies to facilitate the necessary arrangements to provide timely opinions on the matters on which opinions are sought from the Ministry of Finance. I am confident that all civil servants will fulfill their assigned responsibilities and duties. Responsible officials should make necessary arrangements to give high priority to the work to be done in the remaining period of the current fiscal year and achieve the set target within the stipulated time.'
