CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has warned that his party will stage nationwide protests demanding the restoration of the House of Representatives.
He made this statement while talking to leaders and cadres who reached his residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur on Thursday. Chairman Oli accused the government, which has no standing to run the country in a dictatorship, of recommending the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
He claimed that President Ram Chandra Poudel made a mistake by dissolving the House of Representatives based on the recommendation made by the unconstitutional government. He said that since the dissolution of the House of Representatives was against the constitution, he had to move forward demanding its restoration.
Oli said, "The reason why this unconstitutional government dissolved the House of Representatives is to dissolve the House of Representatives to run the country in a dictatorship. It has been dissolved unconstitutionally. Those who have no standing to make the recommendation have made the recommendation, and the President has dissolved it without falling under any article of the constitution.
