The leaders who signed the demand for a special general convention have called on the party leadership to take a decision on a special general convention before the election.

Saying that they cannot go to the elections without changing the leadership and policy, they have said that a special general convention should be called instead of a regular general convention.

Most of the leaders speaking at the gathering of representatives of the establishment and non-establishment parties organized at a banquet in Thapagaun said that the special general convention should not be postponed under any pretext.

In the central working committee meeting on Tuesday, General Secretary Gagan Thapa presented a schedule to hold the central general convention on Poush 16 and 17.

As soon as General Secretary Thapa spoke, Joint General Secretary Mahendra Ray Yadav presented the schedule of Baisakh 27-30 from the establishment party.

While the dispute over whether to hold the election before or after the Central Working Committee is growing, the gathering of general convention representatives from non-establishment parties has put pressure on the establishment to immediately set a date for the special general convention.
