Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), has said that the unity among the country's leftist parties has created an environment for moving forward towards a socialist revolution.

Addressing the meeting of the National General Convention Organizing Committee of the Maoist Center held at Pragya Bhavan in Kamaladi today, he said that the Genji movement should be synthesized as a socialist revolution.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the unity with various nine left components and announcing the party reorganization campaign, Coordinator Dahal urged leader Janardan Sharma to participate in the party unity process. 'You (Janardan) should reconsider your decision, return to the party, and move forward together,' he said.

Coordinator Dahal called on the transformative forces to join the patriotic movement, stating that the unity of republicans, democrats and patriots is the need of the hour. He believes that communist leaders who are conducting leftist and patriotic campaigns will also participate in the unity process.

Senior leader of the Maoist Center Narayan Kaji Shrestha clarified that a broad leftist unity is being carried out with the aim of fulfilling the national task of economic prosperity, good governance and control of corruption in the country. Stating that the reorganization and polarization of the Nepali communist movement is the need of the hour, he reiterated that there is no alternative to bringing all patriotic forces together.

The meeting has passed a resolution on party unification. Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota stated that the unification of the broad communist movement is the need of the day to fulfill the goal of the socialist revolution and informed that a unity will be announced among nine different leftist components to fulfill that need.

According to him, a party unification declaration meeting will be held at Bhrikutimandap tomorrow. It is said that the name of the unified party will be 'Nepali Communist Party'. Nine different communist parties, including the Maoist Center, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), the Nepal Socialist Party, the Nepal Socialist Party, the Jana Samajwadi Party Nepal, the Nepal Communist Party CPN (Maoist Socialist), and the CPN (Communist), are uniting.

The guiding principle of the party formed after the unification will be Marxism-Leninism and the program of the Nepali revolution will be scientific socialism with Nepali characteristics, Spokesperson Sapkota informed. The central committee meeting of all the components participating in the unification process will announce the party's unity, approve the manifesto and interim statute, and form the central committee. It has been agreed that the party's election symbol will be a five-pointed star.
