Gopal Kirati returns to Maoist party

The Patriotic Socialist Front led by Gopal Kirati has merged with the Maoists. In 2074 BS, Kirati had split from the Maoists, saying that Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had abandoned the issue of identity.

At one time, he used to express his dissatisfaction by calling the Maoists 'Khaoists'. Recently, he has returned to the Maoists, citing unfavorable circumstances. He has returned to the old party by making a 3-point agreement with Maoist Chairman Dahal.

The agreement between Dahal and Kirati states that unity and polarization among revolutionaries are the primary issues as unprecedented risks are emerging in Nepali politics. It is also mentioned in the agreement made by Dahal and Kirati that an objective review will be formed by forming a working group on the ideological-political and organizational mistakes and weaknesses that have been made in the past.

The three-point agreement is as follows:

1. To form a working group on the ideological-political and organizational mistakes and weaknesses that have been made in the past. Under whose guidance, unity-struggle-transformation, mainly transformation and creating new unity on a new basis from the level of the masses, will gain the strength to shoulder the socialist task of the Nepali revolution.

2. To take decisions on the basis of complete democracy through systematic discussions in the party on socialist democracy with a patriotic identity developed by Comrade Gopal Kirati.

3. To implement the above agreement, Marxist revolutionaries under the leadership of Patriotic Socialist Front Chairman Gopal Kirati will be polarized in the CPN (Maoist Center).

Finally, we call on everyone, including the youth of the Z generation, to join in the determination to end the corrupt rule of brokers and bureaucratic capitalists by taking initiatives to strengthen the national independence, integrity, and sovereignty of Nepal by increasing socialist polarization among the Nepali classes struggling at home and abroad (laborers, farmers, landless people, financially exploited and displaced classes), gender, caste, region, and patriots and the movement to protect natural and cultural heritage, including identity, and by rigorously protecting and practicing the sovereignty and state power vested in the Nepali people.
