Two newly appointed ministers took oath today. President Ram Chandra Poudel administered the oath to them at the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki had also recommended Ganapati Lal Shrestha and Khagendra Sunar as ministers. But after it became public that the case was pending from the district court to the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister removed Sunar's name. He was recommended as the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security.
Similarly, Ganapati Lal Shrestha's name, which was recommended as the Minister of Land Management and Cooperatives, was withdrawn at the last minute. According to sources in the Prime Minister's Office, Shrestha had aspired to be the Minister of Tourism. But Prime Minister Karki had recommended him as the Minister of Land.
