Prime Minister Sushila Karki has reiterated the government's commitment to hold elections on time.
Speaking at a wreath-laying program organized by the Shankhadhar Sakhwa Foundation on Monday on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1146, she said that the government is committed to holding elections in a fearless environment for democratic empowerment, economic prosperity and protection of civil rights.
She said, 'The government formed on the strength of the movement of Bhadra 23 and 24 has been given the responsibility to hold the election of the House of Representatives on Falgun 21. The government is determined to fulfill this responsibility.'
Prime Minister Karki said that the government is working to create a comfortable environment for the Nepali people to exercise their voting rights. She also expressed her commitment to the government to be responsible in serving the citizens, addressing the appropriate voice of the Gen-G group according to the Constitution of Nepal.
Prime Minister Karki urged political parties and all sections of society to cooperate in holding fair elections.
