Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) General Convention Organizing Committee, has stated that the current situation in the country is extraordinary and complex, and that the role of the party has increased in difficult circumstances.

At a program organized by the Maoist Center Lalitpur Metropolitan City Committee to exchange greetings, have a tea party and meet and greet on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1146 today at Mahalaxmisthan, he said that the party has a great responsibility in the current situation and that a 10-point guideline has been issued.

'On Bhadra 23, Gen-G demonstrated their love for politics and country as well as their power for reform by protesting against injustice, corruption and misrule, but the Bhadra 24 movement has also taught us how dangerously wrong trends are developing in the country. We should understand this. After that, we all played our role in ending the statelessness situation in the country,' he said.

Coordinator Dahal stated that he supported the demands of the Gen-G movement as they were also the demands of the party and emphasized that the party should be transformed according to the wishes and feelings of the youth.

'The party that will transform even in the changed situation is the Maoists, there is continuous dialogue and discussion with the youth, they should understand by amending the constitution, revolutionaries should know their enemies and friends, the young people should understand this,' he said.

He said that it is necessary to explain to the general public and the youth about good governance, social justice, a directly elected executive president and a fully proportional electoral system. 'As Lenin said, only revolutionary parties and leaders admit mistakes, bourgeois and counter-revolutionaries do not admit mistakes, as a party that leads the people, we will have to transform again, those who protect the corrupt and revolutionaries are not the same,' he said.

He opined that reactionaries and counter-revolutionaries had sent the wrong message, dishonesty and conspiracy to former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara. Coordinator Dahal said that it is not for journalists to decide who should or should not be in the party leadership, drawing attention to the fact that it is a matter for the members of the concerned party to resolve.

Central General Convention Organizing Committee member and former Minister Pampha Bhusal mentioned that the constitution has been written to guarantee maximum rights of the people.

He stressed the need to institutionalize good governance and an inclusive federal democratic republic as demanded by the new generation of the Genji group to make the socialist people's revolution successful. He said that the role played by the President against the conspiracy to destroy the constitution and order in the Genji movement, which was not seen even in the ten-year people's movement, has calmed the movement, and said that it is necessary to make the election on Falgun 21 a success.

CPN (Maoist Center) Lalitpur Metropolitan City In-charge and Constituent Assembly Member Rajkaji Maharjan said that a special program was organized with the objective of conveying a message to transform the party into a new type of responsibility with enthusiasm, and informed that the party is active with a commitment to move forward with a new action plan at the grassroots level. Lalitpur Metropolitan City Committee Chairman Rabindra Maharjan emphasized the need to establish the party in the community.
