We will not participate in the elections until the government fulfills our bottom line: Miraj Dhungana

Gen-G activist Miraj Dhungana has announced the launch of a new political party. Dhungana announced the launch of the political party at a press conference in Kathmandu on Saturday.

He claimed that the party is not being formed just to participate in the elections, but to be the official party of Gen-G. He said that they will not participate in the elections until their bottom line is fulfilled by the government. He said, 'We are not ready to go to the elections without fulfilling the bottom line. Directly elected executives are our main issue and we will not go anywhere without it. The meaning of forming a party is not to contest elections, but to move forward in an organized manner.'

He added, 'A crowd alone is not enough to become official. An NGO or a political party should be formed for the development of the country, nothing will happen with a crowd.'

He informed that the upcoming agenda includes taking action against those involved in corruption, advancing economic transformation and other agendas. Dhungana clarified, 'This government was formed by Gen-G, but I will not be personally involved in the process of forming the government.'

Dhungana informed that the name of the new party will be finalized after discussions with everyone.
