Maoist Deputy General Secretary Sharma demanded the resignation of Chairman Dahal

What you should know

On the same day that Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of the Maoist Center after the Genji Uprising, was announced, Deputy General Secretary Janardhan Sharma has started a discussion within the party about his resignation.

Saying that the main leader was responsible for the dissolution of the parliament due to the Genji rebellion, he has started increasing pressure for President Dahal to resign.

He demanded that he resign in the 16-point proposal prepared for internal discussion. A leader said that this proposal has been discussed on the Sharma side and that they are ready to move forward with it. "The original leadership of the party should resign immediately," he said, "a concrete and clear policy should be made on which position and how many times a person will sit on which position." At that time, his proposal was discussed.

He said that since the Genji movement attacked the stagnant corrupt politics and culture, it should be synthesized positively, as the movement exposed all aspects of party system, leadership system, commissar system and brokering, now it has opened the way to move the country forward in a new way.

Sharma has said that we should help the current government and create an environment to go to the elections. They demanded that a commission be formed under the leadership of an independent person to implement the demand made in the past about property investigation within the Maoists, property investigation of retirees from all sectors who held office after 2046, and a high-level commission on the loss of people's wealth in the Genji movement.

His proposal is that the government leadership election system should be taken to the model of direct election, the current election system should be ended and political debate should be started for the construction of the parliament through the full proportional election system. "The issue of a directly elected executive president should be strongly raised," he suggested.

He said that a clear vision should be created to solve the problems of Dalit women within the party, and a policy should be set for the protection of martyrs, missing families and wounded warriors, as well as the disabled and the elderly. "We should start a campaign to make everyone self-employed through the policies, plans and programs of the party related to labor and economic production," he suggested, "As nationality is in a serious crisis, the party line should be vigilantly alert to protect the nationality."
