Preparations for the second legislative convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) have been accelerated. With only seven days left for the convention, preparations have been intensified.
A meeting of the Central People's Organization Coordinating Mechanism was held today at the Party Central Office, Chaisal, Lalitpur for the preparation of the convention. In the
meeting, the coordinator of the mechanism, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, gave a 'briefing' about the work so far and the remaining preparations. He emphasized on the need to ensure the active role of people's organizations targeting the upcoming second legislative convention. Coordinator Dhakal informed that in the
meeting, organizational preparation, publicity, establishment of media center, volunteer management, wide participation of all people's organizations were discussed to make the convention a success. He said that the legislative convention was an important turning point in the policy and organizational journey of UML and urged the representatives of all the people's organizations to be active. In the
meeting, all the presidents and in-charges of UML's mass organizations participated.
The Legislative Convention will be held from August 20 to 22 at the Sunrise Conference Center in Godavari, Lalitpur, with the main slogan of 'Building decisive national power is our resolution, a prosperous Nepal, a happy Nepali national destination!'
