Foreign interference continues on Nepal: Leader Choulagai

UML Politburo member Kamal Prasad Choulagai has said that foreign interference is still continuing in Nepal.

Addressing the fifth full meeting of UML held in Ramechhap on Saturday, Choulagai alleged that the international powers are trying to create 'UML without KP Sharma Oli and Nepal without UML'. He commented that the current activism of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari is also a part of the same game. "There is no reason to remove the party president when there is an all-round attack now," he said, "KP Oli was attacked as a leader who opposed external interference, not because he acted against the national interest."

Claiming that Oli stood firm from facing the blockade of India to the moment when the Chuchche map was issued, he mentioned that saving Oli is connected with the national interest. He said that forces are active to prevent stability in Nepal and accused that there is a conspiracy to weaken the UML. "We have shown the possibility of getting a clear majority in the 2084 elections, various activities are being done to prevent it", he said.

He emphasized on the need to strengthen the organization based on the report compiled from the party's grassroots campaign. "The main central municipality should be made, the municipality is looking for competent leadership," he said.
