Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had a courtesy meeting with Nepali Congress Chairman and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Bhanu Deuba, Chief Private Secretary of the Chairman Deuba informed that in the meeting held today at the residence of the Chairman Deuba, Budhanilkanth, they discussed various matters of bilateral mutual interest.

There was a discussion between them about strengthening the close and multifaceted relations between Nepal and India.

Foreign Secretary has arrived here today for a two-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Amrit Bahadur Rai, Secretary of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

India and Nepal have strong and friendly foreign relations. It is believed that the Foreign Secretary's visit continues the tradition of regular high-level exchange of visits between the two countries and will be an opportunity to further advance bilateral relations.
