The meeting of the Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee under the House of Representatives has ended after sitting for five minutes. On Saturday, a meeting was called for 10.30 am in the meeting room of the committee at Sinha Darbar.

Although the committee meeting was called at 11 am, the committee members could not attend on time. We had to wait for about an hour and a half to reach the required quorum for the committee to sit. Even after waiting for an hour and a half, the meeting could not proceed. After the meeting was held for five minutes, the chairperson of the committee, Kusum Devi Thapa, instructed the members of the committee to study the report presented by the government regarding land without any amendments.

After the parliamentarians protested against the draft of the amended report of the bill to amend some of the Nepalese laws related to land, the Ministry of Land prepared and presented another draft. In which the meeting had to be adjourned after the MPs asked for more time because the study time was not enough.

committee meeting was postponed, Nepali Congress MP Pratima Gautam said that the meeting had to be postponed because more discussions were needed with the revisionists. He said that due to the Hindu Kush conference, he had to pay attention to it, so he did not have enough time to study, so time was requested.

CPN-UML Member of Parliament Saraswati Subba said that the time was requested because the members of Parliament should study before that according to the provision that the committee should finalize the report after all the procedures are completed. She said that they have asked for time to make the Federal Civil Service Bill aware of the recent incident. She said that since the issue related to land is also a political issue, more time has been added to agree politically.

Rashtriya Swatantra Party MP Ashok Kumar Chaudhary said that if the land bill is for landless Dalits and landless Sukumvasi, the government and the ministry should be serious. He alleges that the phenomenon was created by showing them. Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Minister Balram Adhikari alleged that the meeting was adjourned due to the dissent of the MPs from the ruling party. The

committee was called on Saturday to discuss the finalization of the preliminary report of the bill to amend some of Nepal's laws related to land.
