The Election Commission has called upon all political parties to register their parties for the by-elections to be held in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3 on October 17.
The commission issued a notice today and said that applications for party registration can be submitted at the central office of the commission from July 21st to 27th.
Commission has already approved the election schedule for the by-elections. Candidate nominations will be registered at the election officer's office on October 21st from 10 am to 5 pm and the list of candidates will be published in the evening of the same day. The final list of candidates will be published on October 24. Voting will be held on November 17th from 7 am to 5 pm at the respective polling station.
According to the commission, the person whose name is included in the closed list cannot be a candidate for the proportional election system for the member of the House of Representatives and the member of the Provincial Assembly, 2079.
