Finishing work is underway inside the Dhedre and Lendanda tunnels, and tall and attractive bridges have been constructed at the mouths of both tunnels. The distance of the Dhedre tunnel is 1,691 meters and the distance of the Lendanda tunnel is 1,623 meters.

After covering a distance of 31 kilometers from Kathmandu, one reaches Dhedre in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12 of Makawanpur. Where the 82-meter-high bridge constructed parallel to the mouth of the Dhedre tunnel is currently attracting everyone's attention. In Lendanda, located in Gadhi Rural Municipality-1 of the same district, two 82-meter-high bridges have also been constructed parallel to the mouth of the tunnel. In which one bridge has been completed and the construction of the other is in the final stage. These tunnels and bridges are currently being constructed on the Kathmandu-Terai/Madhesh Fast Track, a national pride project.
धेद्रे र लेनडाँडा सुरुङभित्र फिनिसिङको काम भइरहेको छ भने दुवै सुरुङको मुखमा अग्ला र आकर्षक पुल निर्माण गरिएको छ । धेद्रे सुरुङको दूरी १ हजार ६ सय ९१ मिटर र लेनडाँडा सुरुङको दूरी १ हजार ६ सय २३ मिटर छ । दुवै सुरुङमा काठमाडौंबाट निजगढ र निजगढबाट काठमाडौं जानेगरी छुट्टाछुट्टै समानान्तर चारवटा सुरुङ निर्माण गरिएको हो ।
अग्ला पुल पनि त्यसैगरी चारवटा समानान्तर रूपमा निर्माण गरिएको छ । यीबाहेक थप पाँचवटा सुरुङको निर्माण हुँदै छ । केहीको निर्माण सुरु गरिएको र केही सुरु गर्ने तयारी हुँदै छ । गाडी चल्ने सुरुङमध्ये यो नेपालकै सबैभन्दा लामोसमेत हो । जसको दूरी ३ हजार ४ सय ५५ मिटर रहेको छ । अहिलेसम्म २ हजार ३ सय ४८ मिटर खन्न बाँकी छ । सुरुङ खन्ने काम ७० प्रतिशत सकिसकेको र असारसम्म ‘ब्रेक थ्रु’ गर्ने तयारी रहेको सैनिक प्रवक्ता एवं सहायक रथी राजाराम बस्नेतले बताए ।
लेनडाँडा र धेद्रे सुरुङ कामसँगै थालिए पनि चाइना स्टेट कन्स्ट्रक्सन इन्जिनियरिङ कर्पोरेसनले लिएको महादेवटार सुरुङ खन्न ढिलाइ गर्दा समयमै ‘ब्रेक थ्रु’ हुन नसकेको हो । अहिले काठमाडौं–तराई/मधेश द्रुतमार्गका विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (डीपीआर) मन्त्रिपरिषद्बाट स्वीकृत हुन समय लाग्दा समयमै काम सुरु हुन सकेन ।
मन्त्रिपरिषद्ले २१ वैशाख २०७४ मा द्रुतमार्ग निर्माण व्यवस्थापनको जिम्मा सेनालाई दिने निर्णय गरेको थियो । पछि भौतिक पूर्वाधार तथा यातायात मन्त्रालयले २७ साउन २०७४ मा सेनालाई आयोजना हस्तान्तरण गरेको हो । त्यहीअनुसार सेनाको व्यवस्थापनमा यसको निर्माण भइरहेको छ । द्रुतमार्गको कुल दूरी ७०.९७७ किमि छ ।
