उनीहरूले काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिकाका मेयर बालेन्द्र साहले कवाड व्यवसायीमाथि गुण्डागर्दी गरेको आरोप लगाउँदै मेयर साहविरुद्धको प्रदर्शन लेखिएको ब्यानर बोकेर भृकुटीमण्डपदेखि कमलादीसम्म र्याली गरेका हुन्। महानगरले दुई वर्षदेखि कवाड व्यवसायी र सङ्कलक मजदुरमाथि अन्यायपूर्ण व्यवहार गर्दै आएको उनीहरूको आरोप छ।
उनीहरूले महानगरद्वारा गरिएको कुटपिट, सामान जफत र संरचना भत्काउने कार्य तत्काल बन्द गर्न माग गरेका छन्। मजदुरहरूले ‘कवाड व्यवसायीको श्रमको सम्मान गर’, ‘अन्यायपूर्ण कार्य तुरुन्त बन्द गर’, ‘अदालतको निर्णयलाई सम्मान गर’लगायतका नारा लेखिएका प्लेकार्ड बोकेर विरोध गरेका थिए।
