Vat Savitri festival celebrated only by married women is celebrated on Monday. In this festival, which is celebrated on Jeth Amavasya day, women worship the Vat (Vara) tree as a form of nature worship. यो पर्वमा आँप, केरा, अनारजस्ता फलफूल बोकेका महिलाहरू वटवृक्षलाई पूजापाठ गरेर पतिको दीर्घायु तथा परिवारको सुखसमृद्धिको कामना गर्छन् । व्रतालुहरूका अनुसार व्रत बस्नुभन्दा एक दिनअघि चोखो खाना खाएकी व्रतालुहरू अमावस्याको दिन बिहानैदेखि उपवास बस्छन् । वटवृक्षलाई पूजा गरेपछि मात्र अन्नजल ग्रहण गर्छन् ।
