[Letter to the Editor] Let's not discredit the Gen-ji Rebellion

With every movement in our country, a strange practice repeats itself - which raises the question, 'On whose initiative was the movement?' and is immediately answered, 'Foreigners.' Today, the Gen-Ji Rebellion is also surrounded by the same accusations.

Those who discredit this movement as being spread by foreign apostles or brokers are the power-loving sections within the country, who consider the security of their interests greater than the voice of the people.

Movements of the past certainly had some weaknesses – opportunistic leaders, directionless slogans and self-interested alliances. However, rejecting every rebellion born within the country as a foreigner's game is an injury to the nation's self-respect. The source of change never comes from outside, it is born from the pain, inequality and injustice within. So the Gen-J rebellion is also an expression of the youth's own experience, discontent and potential - which it is dishonest to discredit in the name of foreign intervention.

Manai choyo

An article titled 'Bhoomihin Lai Jihina Inhozi' published in Kantipur touched my heart. An unimaginable incident happened in the country. There was huge human and material loss. Meanwhile, natural phenomena are also increasing. Whenever disaster strikes the country, the people at the ground level are further pushed back. Nature also pursues him. The same thing happened this time. At present, the commission was working to provide land to the landless squatters. Works were being done at all district and local levels. The land acquisition process for some people was nearing. Some were being processed. But the landless squatters have become restless due to the sudden cancellation of the commission.

The question is not of two-four thousand people, but of millions of landless people. Not only that, the huge investment of the state will be wasted. Why does this happen? The work was being done on the basis of what was written in the constitution. But the ongoing work should not be left suddenly, but the commission should continue from where it has worked. It needs the attention of the concerned parties. When will the landless get land? Why these citizens always injustice?

Conflict management: a complex matter

The generation of Gen-G who succeeded in ousting long-rooted established parties is underappreciated. Although the leader who has been usurping power has been deposed, the country's problems have not gone away. It cannot be said that the present government will not be targeted by the dissatisfaction of Hanuman who walks behind the leader and eats meat and rice, who digests his salary and allowances while sitting on top of the curd, and who occupies the chair with money transactions. On the other hand, the officials of the union organization, who are connected with the civil servants, students, teachers, professors and are proud of the big leader, who focus on negative work than positive, have also started pointing fingers at the government.

There is a possibility that there will be an increase in cases of gangsterism and robbery by others to discredit and convict Jane-J. On the other hand, those who invested in the industry were not only frightened by last month's arson and vandalism, but also the non-resident Nepali community living abroad who longed for help in the development of Nepal were disappointed and the confidence of foreign investors was broken. Being oblivious to the national and international environment, we are still supporting the politics of anger, revenge, confrontation, we have forgotten the reality that politics is a confluence of 'money, price, punishment, discrimination'.
