No leader has left leadership as a complete moral failure and failure.
There was such a great upheaval in the country. Power changed here in 27 hours which is unprecedented anywhere in the world. But the old leader of our old party did not seem to have any sense. No one seemed to have the idea to save their remaining honor by giving the leadership to the youth.
Even after 10 days have passed since the country got a new prime minister after the movement was successful, not one of the old leaders has resigned. No leader has left leadership as a complete moral failure and failure.
Congress, UML and Maoists, when the top leader of one of the parties resigned, the other leader would also be pressured to resign. It was also a golden opportunity to transfer and transform senior leaders.
The demand that the elderly leaders step down is not only a demand of the Gen-G generation, it is a common demand and sentiment of the common people. It is unfortunate that even when the country is in ruins due to the misrule and corrupt behavior of those leaders, they did not realize that the position should be handed over to them. The young generation of the three parties also had to move forward by challenging the leadership. If the position was not transferred naturally, the old leadership had to be killed even if it was learned from the Gen-G generation. The youth had to show so much strength. - Gopal Devkota, Kathmandu
Leaders who are now over 60 in the country should take a break. They have to play the role of parents in the party. The need of the hour is to advance the young generation. It is important for everyone to think about it.
A leader must be able to take the lead. Leaders who have to walk on the support of others will play a leadership role? Now again, it is completely wrong for leaders like KP Sharma Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and others to say that the party should run under my leadership. How long will the person who is despised by the people rule the country? It has been 35 years since Nepalese people watched his reign. What he did till today is clear to everyone. Now it is time for Gagan Thapa in Congress, Surendra Pandey in UML and Janardhan Sharma in Maoist Center to step forward to take the leadership. It does not matter if the younger generation below that is ready and ready to lead.
