Nepali society has not forgotten a sentence that the current Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli uttered on October 24, 2072 when he became the Prime Minister for the first time. However, the current Prime Minister Oli may have forgotten that.
The gist of the proclamation at that time was - 'In the next two years, the fact that there was Tuin in this country or that Nepali people used to travel through Tuin will become a history. I and my government will build a suspension bridge in the Tuin area within two years. Tuin will be completely displaced.'
But irony! The same person became the prime minister of the country many times. He is still the Prime Minister. But while this time of one country is passing, the people of the rural areas are still the same from near the capital to the corners of the far west, forced to live by crossing the river from Tuin.
Even today, the daily life of remote citizens is at risk of having to travel by tube in snow and tube in winter. In this country, many school children lost their lives during the drought as they struggled with Tuin. The government will also have their data. But the habit of saying anything for political stunts was yesterday and still is today. Due to which the common people are suffering. Again, hope and trust cannot be lived by these leaders.
