At present, the political situation of the country has once again become chaotic. Especially with the announcement of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari's return to active politics, the entire party's attention has been focused on UML.

Nanda Bahadur, who was the Vice President during the tenure of Vidya Bhandari as President, has returned to active Maoist politics. Although the comeback in politics is not much talked about, the political comeback of a person who has become the president has received a lot of talk at the moment. The return of a person who has reached the highest position in the country to politics and the return of Bhandari to the party as Oli's competitor in the UML, which is said to be the only option for KP Sharma Oli, may have been discussed so much. 

However, at the moment, many people are more interested in the future balance of power in UML than the return of the former president and vice president to politics. From the day he left Sheetal Niwas, he had been trying to bring Amalejan Bhandari into active politics, who was fed up with Oli's tendency to either take action or kick out his competitors, opponents and those who have different opinions within the party. Finally, they have succeeded in passing the first stage by making Bhandari return to politics. 

Those who started politics from Oli's schooling have now come to stand in his opposition. Just like when a cat is kept in a closed room and tries to chase it away, it attacks the neck of a person, this time UML's Oli victim has also adopted the same style. 

After the exit of Madhav Nepal and Jhalnath Khanal group from UML, Oli victims who are looking for such a character when there is a shortage of leaders to challenge Oli in the party, have tried to bring Bhandari into politics and keep him in size or they really want to give UML an alternative to Oli - that will be shown by the upcoming convention. – Sujan Devkota , Palungtar-4, Gorkha 

UML's former vice-president and former president Bidya Devi Bhandari's party membership renewal dispute and the ongoing discussions are really important. Questions about democratic practice and leadership change within the party that have been lost for years have come to the surface. 

In the context of the need for restoration of democracy and leadership change within the party, Bhandari's activism in party politics and his renewal of membership should not be seen as a personal issue. This is also an important question related to internal democracy, law and individual freedom within the UML. 

UML must restore democracy within the party, listen to the voice of leadership change and treat all members equally. The party should make a legal and statutory decision regarding the renewal of the membership of the former vice president Bhandari and proceed in the direction of making the party more inclusive and democratic.
