The headline 'Mansarovar opened to Indian pilgrims after four years, the hotel was full', the news from Kantipur seemed to convey a message. In fact, the recent increase in the number of Indian pilgrims to Karnali, which has been neglected since earlier, is certainly a welcome news and it is bringing multifaceted benefits.

Earlier, the small number of local and foreign tourists going on pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar via Humla did not benefit the economy much. The number of pilgrims has increased due to the re-opening of religious pilgrimages that were closed since March 2077 when the Corona epidemic reached its peak, while different social networks have added to the appeal of the audio visuals of Kailash Mansarovar to Indian Hindus and Buddhists who have religious beliefs.

Right now, two dozen hotels in Simkot, the headquarters of Humla, and 35 hotels in Hilsa, located on the Chinese border, are full, and the pressure of pilgrims going to Humla by airplane has also started to be seen in the hotels of Nepalgunj. From here, Tara, Sita and Summit Airlines operate up to 82 flights a day to Simkot, with 5 helicopters flying Simkot-Hilsa up to 75 times a day.

Since Humla is also connected to the national road network, villages and picturesque places along the way should be made touristic. Also, by taking advantage of the opportunity, a campaign should be started to increase the attraction of tourists in tourist spots such as Rara, Phoksundo Lake through advertisement and publicity.
