Let's strengthen the foundation of good governance

Due to the cheating in the 'cooling off period' related to the civil service, there is a commotion in the government circles of Nepal at this time.

Due to the fraud in the 'cooling off period' related to the civil service, there is a stir in the government circles of Nepal at this time. As a matter of fact, the stakeholders were shocked when the Federal Civil Service Bill was passed by the Parliament and reached the National Assembly, contrary to the constitutional or government decision of not getting appointment for two years after resigning from government service or retirement. The State Laws Committee submitted the bill to the House on June 1, including the provisions related to the 'cooling off period' placed in sub-section 4 of section 82 of the bill, and the bill was passed by the House of Representatives on June 15. Based on the propaganda that the State Arrangements Committee had a two-year 'cooling off period' before its passage, the committee chairman and members blindly corrected the bill without turning the page, without studying it, and the government's blundering has been exposed. It has been decided that the Speaker will form a 7-member parliamentary inquiry committee on Monday to identify the culprits and it will be able to work within 15 days. Since it has been decided to have 2 members each from Congress and UML, 1 member each from Maoist Center, RPPA, RSVP, it can be hoped that the truth will be discovered.
Many have not hesitated to call this case related to the Civil Bill ridiculous. Even though forming an inquiry committee is an established procedure, is it a common issue that misled the House of Representatives itself? Even a 5-6-year-old child can say, 'No one who corrects the document can be innocent', is it reasonable to waste important time of Parliament by forming an inquiry committee? Currently, the country's problems cannot be counted. Shouldn't it be discussed in the Federal Parliament round the clock on the issues caused by the floods, the disruption of the Narayanghat-Butwal section of the highway, the chemical fertilizers, the pain caused by the local government of Rupandehi by taxing the export of agricultural products, the arbitrariness of the mafia, agriculture and tourism being neglected by the government? However, when adding the matter of fraud that has happened now, it can be hoped that those who smeared the House of Representatives will not be able to get away with the reference that the honorable court gave priority to good governance and put the former minister and the prime minister in the court of law in the past.
