The Tukucha River, which flows south through the Arch Bridge of the Federal Capital of Kathmandu, joins the Bagmati River in front of the UN Park.
The Tukucha River, which flows south through the Arch Bridge of the Federal Capital of Kathmandu, joins the Bagmati River in front of the UN Park. Meanwhile, three iron bridges and two concrete bridges have been built over the Tukucha river. All those bridges connect Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 10 and 11. Among these two concrete bridges on Buddhanagar, Rudramati Marg, due to the flood of 12th October 2081, the part towards Ward No. 11 has been washed away, and the main road has also been washed away. Within a few days after the flood subsided, the city police came and put iron poles and nets to stop pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Private and public schools and colleges are operating on both sides. Even now, it has been raining regularly and again, not only vehicles, but also pedestrians have been obstructed by barbed wire.
Seeing such a situation and ignoring it for so long is a mockery of the right of citizens to travel freely and safely. In such a matter, the mysterious silence of Kathmandu Metropolitan City is also doubtful.
