Dhulmule Dahal

The behavior of the Maoist Center and the silence of Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the case of visit visa has once again exposed Dahal's dubious character.

Initially, the Maoists, who had taken the stance of blocking the Parliament by demanding the resignation of the Home Minister, reached an agreement on 2 points with the ruling parties within a few days and withdrew from that stance.
Dahal's speeches echo people's pain, justice and change, but in practice he always enjoys the security of power. If it was possible to make the home minister a victim in the parliament and to question the media itself, it was made possible by the retreat of the Maoists. The momentary melting away of the people's stand by the greed to stay in power was not just a coincidence, it was part of a planned surrender. Such a weakness of a leader who is supposed to be firm in his ideas and beliefs can neither save Dahal's political position nor the remaining honor of the Maoist movement.
Dahal's lust for power is nothing new. In the past, he has been clinging to power by changing alliances time and time again, showing lust for position over ideas. Allegations of "collusion" and "surrender" leveled against the Maoists from RSVP to RPR are not just accusations, they are facts confirmed by Dahal's latest activities. It is ironic in itself that people expect any fundamental change from such leaders. A leadership that does politics for power and chair, but does not act concretely or show moral strength in favor of the people, can be fatal for the country.
The habit of changing one's position in the momentary fascination of power cannot win the trust of the people, nor can the credibility of the Maoists be preserved. Now the time has come to show Dahal that he can stand up for the people by being firm in his thoughts and not by being carried away by emotions.
