The issue of party unity and disunity is not new in politics. In the context of Nepal, this has become very common. Since the establishment of political parties, there is a history of this kind of joining and splitting.

Before the federal election of 2074, an electoral alliance was formed between the CPN-UML and the Maoist Center to unite the party after the election. After the election, the party was united. KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who said 'we became two pilots of one jet' at the time of unity, could not fly the jet for a long time. In the end, not only the two parties that were united at that time broke up, on the contrary, even the old UML broke up at the same time and three parties were formed.

UML and Maoists have not raised the issue of left unity again and again after reaching their old status. There is still talk of a left alliance. The talk of the left alliance is going on one side. On the other hand, the UML and the Maoists, who have recently become staunch critics of each other, are once again trying to confuse the people by raising the issue of unity again. Especially after being removed from the government, Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been in the limelight from time to time due to various expressions. Meanwhile, as part of the awakening campaign started by the party, he reached Dadeldhura last Friday and again raised the issue of unity with UML. He said that unity with UML is not possible before the upcoming 2084 elections.

If you think that there is no unity or cooperation with any party, then why do the leaders keep raising the issue of unity, cooperation and alliance with the three parties time and again? When repeating the same thing over and over again, I think that the leaders say this because they think that one day the same thing will take a meaningful form. It looks like they are fighting with each other on the outside and trying to maintain mutual understanding on the inside. If not, why do the leaders keep trying to use the subject that has failed once? Is their purpose only to paralyze the people by forgetting them?
